SEE YA THERE...!!!
sorry folks currently off-air but hope to return soon...keep ya posted - watch this space...!!!
I had a fascination with vinyl from a young age, just loved playin records and dancing to music.my first mixing was pause mixing on cassette, chopping up my fav tunes and creating mix tapes for myself and friends back in the mid 80s - the music back then was house and hip hop. This got me into music big time and started buying records with pocket money and from my paper round - the first record i bought was called 'Street Dance' by 'Breakmachine' 1983 a breakdancing tune that was big at that time, that got me hooked and into buying vinyl where ever i could - i had the vinyl bug... I saved hard and got my first decks at 15... Being a dj was not even a trend then, it was simply my passion for music and fascination for spinning tunes that soon grew into house parties, blues parties any local event and the odd birthday bash and any other excuse i could set up the decks and mix and play my latest tunes, then in the late 80s the Acid House scene came along and shortly after morphed into the big rave sound what we know as Old Skool - the early 90s the start of the rave scene... I used to be a regular at the 'Eclipse' in Coventry - The Ravers Mecca' - the start of it all with the uk's first legal all nighter and for those of you old enough and lucky to have been there will remember that infamous bouncing dancefloor which became my second home - you could also find me at Amnesia House, Dreamscape, Milwaukees, Die Hard to name a few - they said this music would never last, a passing faze they said... Yeah Right - here we are in the year of 2013 and it has become so big with its own legacy and growing hero's and a strong following that spawned all of the genres that grew out of it and will stand the test of time and goes without saying 'hardcore will never die'...
My dj career took off in the early 90s at free parties and illegal raves starting in cornwall and grew from there, some of the best ever parties i have been to and dj'd at are the free ones, you cant beat stompin in a warehouse or better still in a field or forest somewhere in the open air countryside - i can recall that the most unusual place i everl dj'd at was back in 1991 in a huge warehouse on a potato farm surrounded by crates of potato's - was a great and memorable party tho - good times indeed...
I love my old skool music the most and much prefer the harder side of dance as you can often hear some UK Hardcore, Happy Hadrcore, Hard House, Hardstyle, Techno, Hard Trance and Jungle belting out my speakers trying to wake the dead with some earth crunching basslines and its at this point i make absolutely no apologies to my neighbours as they should be thanking me for educating and entertaining them with my mixes and house parties for all these years ha ha...
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and hope you enjoy the mixes.
Big ups to " Dropside Eazy Crew "
